The classic musical will play the Kennedy Center as part of the Broadway Center Stage series.
Broadway favorites Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect), Betsy Wolfe (Falsettos), and Michael Urie (Buyer & Cellar) will star in the Kennedy Center's upcoming production of the classic musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Directed by Marc Bruni, with choreography by Denis Jones, the musical is part of the Broadway Center Stage series, and will run June 6-10.
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying features a book by Abe Burrows, Willie Gilbert, and Jack Weinstock, with a score by Frank Loesser. Bruni's production will have musical direction by Todd Ellison, set design by Scott Pask, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski, costume design by Amy Clark, and sound design by Brian Ronan.
Astin will head the company as J. Pierrepont Finch, with Wolfe as Rosemary, Urie as Bud Frump (a role he played in the 2011 Broadway revival), and Washington, DC theater veteran Nova Payton (Ragtime) as Miss Jones. Full casting for the semi-staged concert is still to be announced.
