Stephen Daldry directs David Hare’s drama at the John Golden Theatre.
Carey Mulligan, Bill Nighy, and Matthew Beard, the stars of Stephen Daldry's new Broadway revival of David Hare's Skylight, met the press at the John Golden Theatre on March 10. After a sold-out run at London's Wyndham's Theatre last summer, the production begins New York performances on March13, with opening night set for April 2. The 13-week engagement is scheduled to run through June 14.
Mulligan, an Academy Award nominee for her performance in the film An Education, returns to Broadway for the first time since 2008's The Seagull. She received a 2012 Drama Desk Award nomination for her work in the Atlantic Theater Company's off-Broadway production of Through a Glass Darkly.
Nighy, known for his appearances in films like Love Actually and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, last appeared on Broadway in Hare's The Vertical Hour in 2006. He also starred in the original London production of Skylight, as well as the 2014 revival.
Beard makes his Broadway debut in Skylight. His film credits include The Imitation Game and An Education, in which he costarred alongside Mulligan.
