Sonia Manzano, Donna McKechnie, Fredi Walker-Browne, Rumer Willis, and Annie Starke will comprise the next cast for the Off-Broadway hit, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, at the Westside Theatre, March 23-April 24.
Directed by Karen Carpenter, this collection of stories is based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman, as well as on the recollections of the Ephrons’ friends. It uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to.
The production features a series of five-person casts that will play in four-week cycles.
Manzano is well known for playing Maria on Sesame Street. McKechnie won a Tony Award for her originating the role of Cassie in A Chorus Line. Walker-Browne originated the role of Joanne in Broadway’s Rent. Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has appeared in several film and television programs including 90210. Starke, the daughter of Glenn Close, has prior credits including Hallmark Hall of Fame’s Sarah, Plain and Tall: Winter’s End, and HBO’s In the Gloaming.
In related news, Anne Meara will join restaurateur and lifestyle expert B. Smith in the May cast (April 27 – May 29). Additional cast members for March – May will be announced shortly.
