The Lincoln Center Theater company will reunite for one night only.
Kelli O’Hara, Paulo Szot, and the cast of Lincoln Center Theater’s 2008 revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific will reunite for a one-night concert production on Monday December 9 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.
O’Hara (Nellie), Szot (Emile), Matthew Morison (Cable), Danny Burstein (Luther), Loretta Ables Sayre (Bloody Mary), Li Jun Li (Liat), Sean Cullen (Harbison), Victor Hawks (Stewpot), Skip Sudduth (Brackett), and Noah Weisberg (Professor) will all take part, with original director Bartlett Sher staging the evening, according to the Lincoln Center Theater site.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of South Pacific. The Lincoln Center Theater production opened in 2008 and ran for 996 performances at the Beaumont. It won that year’s Tony for Best Revival of a Musical, and earned statues for Szot, Sher, and its entire creative team.
The evening will support Lincoln Center Theater’s productions and education programs. Further details, including ticket prices, will be announced shortly.
