Stage Adaption of John Fowles' Thriller The Collector Comes to 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters will present the New York premiere of The Collector, based on the novel by John Fowles, beginning October 26, with a run scheduled through November 13. Opening night is set for November 1. Lisa Milinazzo directs.

After winning a fortune in the lottery, unassuming clerk Frederick Clegg buys a remote country house and goes about furnishing it with everything he thinks a beautiful woman could desire. He then abducts a girl he has worshiped from afar, imprisoning her in the cellar amid his butterfly collection. He soon finds reality is far from his fantasy, with tragic, electrifying results.

Based on Fowles' psychological thriller The Collector, the stage adaptation is written by Mark Healy. The cast features Jillian Geurts (Abnormal Attraction) and Matt de Rogatis (Hamlet).

The Collector is produced by Nine Theatricals and Roebuck Theatrical.
