Isaac will return to the stage in an iconic Shakespearean role.
Stage and screen favorite Oscar Isaac will take on the title role in a new production of Shakespeare's Hamlet at Theatre for a New Audience's Polonsky Shakespeare Center in Brooklyn. Directed by Tony winner Sam Gold, the production will run from June 4-July 30, 2017. Opening night is set for June 22.
Isaac's theatrical credits include Shakespeare in the Park productions of Romeo and Juliet and Two Gentlemen of Verona, as well as Zoe Kazan's off-Broadway play We Live Here, which Gold staged. On-screen, he is best known for his Golden Globe Award-winning turn in Show Me a Hero, as well as performances in Inside Llewyn Davis, A Most Violent Year, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Gold won a Tony for Broadway's Fun Home. He has also helmed The Flick, The Realistic Joneses, and many other plays.
