The event is held annually at the Third Avenue Community Fair.
TheaterMania's annual block party took place yesterday, September 10, as part of the Third Avenue Community Fair. As in years past, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce dedicated an entire city block from 74th to 75th Street to the celebrate theater around New York City, and there was no shortage of stars and theater lovers out to enjoy the day. Check out photos from the event in the gallery below.
The centerpiece of the street fair was TheaterMania's free concert, which started at noon. It featured live performances by members of the Broadway shows Waitress, Chicago, Miss Saigon, and the recently closed Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, as well as Rock Star Karaoke, Toot Sweet, the Little Orchestra Society, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and the York Theatre.
Several additional Broadway and off-Broadway shows, both ongoing and upcoming, had booths on the block. These shows include A Bronx Tale — The Musical, A Clockwork Orange, Curvy Widow, The Band's Visit, and The Parisian Woman.
