Steel Magnolias, With Patricia Richardson, Jessica Walter, and More, Set to Begin

The Bucks County Playhouse production of Robert Harling’s comedy Steel Magnolias begins performances tonight, May 27. It opens May 28 and runs through June 18.
The cast is made up of Patricia Richardson (Home Improvement) as M'Lynn, Susan Sullivan (Castle) as Clairee, Jessica Walter (Arrested Development) as Ouiser, Clea Alsip (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) as Shelby, Lucy DeVito (Love, Loss and What I Wore) as Annelle, and Elaine Hendrix (FX’s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll) as Truvy.
The play is set at Truvy’s Beauty Salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where "the hair is big and the gossip is juicy. While their coifs are perfected and daily lives debated, six distinctly different women forge a unique bond of sisterhood — one that even when put to the test, only grows stronger."
