Step Inside Broadway's Fun Home With Sydney Lucas, Michael Cerveris, and Judy Kuhn

The cast and creative team behind Fun Home welcomed the Broadway press corps to its new home, Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre, for a sneak peek at the show on March 23. Written by Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron, Sam Gold's production begins performances on March 27, with opening night set for April 19.

Michael Cerveris, Judy Kuhn, Beth Malone, Obie Award winner Sydney Lucas, Emily Skeggs, Joel Perez, and Roberta Colindrez, all of whom appeared at the musical when it played the Public Theater in 2013, return to the show for its Broadway bow. Zell Morrow and Oscar Williams round out the cast. The creative team of Fun Home includes Danny Mefford (choreography), David Zinn (set and costume design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Kai Harada (sound design), and Chris Fenwick (music direction).

Inspired by cartoonist Alison Bechdel's graphic novel-memoir of the same title, Fun Home follows the real-life Bechdel's journey to accept the death of her stern, closeted father, Bruce, while also coming to terms with her own sexuality.
