Constellations begins performances tonight at the Geffen Playhouse. Giovanna Sardelli directs.
Nick Payne's play is described as follows: "Constellations is the story of Roland (Allen Leech), a beekeeper, and Marianne (Ginnifer Goodwin), a quantum physicist. What are their odds of falling in love? With infinite moments that can change the trajectory of a life, it’s anyone’s guess how cosmic collision is possible."
The creative team includes scenic designer Takeshi Kata, costume designer Denitsa Bliznakova, and lighting designer Lap Chi Chu. Original music and sound design is by Lindsay Jones. Rachel Wiegardt-Egelis is the dramaturg, and Julie Haber is the production stage manager.
Performances continue through July 16.
