The album, Merry Christmas, Darling, will be released on November 3.
Club44 Records, an independent label that aims to highlight the Broadway, cabaret, and jazz genres and preserve the American Songbook, has signed Tony winner Stephanie J. Block (The Cher Show) to its roster of artists. The label will release Block’s debut holiday album, Merry Christmas, Darling, on November 3. Starting on October 6, anyone who pre-saves the album will be able to stream or download the single “Sleigh Ride.”
The album, produced by Wayne Haun and Stephanie J. Block, with Joel Lindsey and Sharon Terrell serving as executive producers, will feature secular and religious holiday classics, including a new song written for Block by Club44 co-founder Wayne Haun and Tony-winning lyricist David Zippel. The album also features a duet with Block’s husband, fellow Broadway star Sebastian Arcelus, as well as a duet with their daughter Vivienne Arcelus.
Block was most recently seen on Broadway and on tour in Into the Woods. Her numerous Broadway credits also include Falsettos, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Wicked, and The Cher Show, for which she won a Tony Award.
