An initial lineup of performers has been announced for the 2014 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which will take place on the morning of November 27 and be broadcast on NBC television. The Today Show hosts Matt Lauer, Al Roker, and Savannah Guthrie will anchor the three-hour broadcast from 9am-noon.

Idina Menzel, the star of Broadway's If/Then, will work her way down the parade route on the "Enchanting World of Lindt Chocolate" float, before performing when the vehicle arrives at Macy's on 34th Street. Also joining the festivities are The Last Ship songwriter Sting, Annie remake star Quvenzhané Wallis, cabaret artist William Blake, the Muppets of "Sesame Street'', opera diva Renée Fleming, Broadway veteran Nick Jonas, Hilary Duff, KISS, and Cirque du Soleil.

This year's lineup of balloons includes characters from The Wizard of Oz, Spider-Man, Snoopy and Woodstock, Ronald McDonald, and the Red Mighty Morphin' Power Ranger, among many others.

The Broadway shows that will perform at Macy's during the first hour of the telecast have not been revealed.
