Susannah Flood, Lee Roy Rogers, and Dina Thomas will join the cast of Nina Raine’s Tribes at the Barrow Street Theatre in September. The production, directed by David Cromer, is currently running through January 6.
Rogers will replace Mare Winningham in the role of Beth and Thomas will take over for Gayle Rankin as Ruth beginning September 4. Flood joins the company as Sylvia, originally played by Susan Pourfar, on September 25. They join continuing cast members Will Brill as Daniel, Russell Harvard as Billy, and Jeff Still as Christopher.
The play centers on a deaf man born into a hearing family who meets a young woman on the brink of deafness. The work received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Play for its London premiere, and was recently award the Drama Desk Award for Best New Play, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Foreign Play, and the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Play
The creative team includes Scott Pask (set), Tristan Raines (costumes), Keith Parham (lighting), Daniel Kluger (sound), and Jeff Sugg (projections).
