Roundabout Theatre Company's concert of George and Ira Gershwin's My One and Only played the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Monday, November 12.
With a book by Peter Stone and Timothy S. Mayer, My One and Only is the tale of Jazz Age aviator Captain Billy Buck Chandler (Creel) and Edythe Herbert (Foster), an ex-English Channel swimmer and the star of Prince Nicolai's International Aquacade. Rob Ashford directed and choreographed the production.
The production starred Tony winners Sutton Foster and Gavin Creel alongside Heidi Blickenstaff, Ted Louis Levy, Michael Park, and Lance Roberts. The ensemble was made up of Darius Barnes, Joe Beauregard, Ward Billeisen, Jessica Bishop, Preston Truman Boyd, Maria Briggs, James Brown III, C.K. Edwards, Shonica Gooden, Robert Hartwell, Eloise Kropp, Ross Lekites, Kevin Munhall, Noah Ricketts, Allison Semmes, Avery Smith, Dennis Stowe, and Yuka Takara.
