Foster took the great stage with the New York Pops and Broadway pals Joshua Henry and Megan McGinnis.
Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster made her solo Carnegie Hall debut on Friday, March 13, in a concert featuring the New York Pops under the baton of conductor Steven Reineke.
Foster was joined onstage by two of her Broadway pals, Violet costar Joshua Henry and Little Women colleague Megan McGinnis.
The two-act concert featured a set list culled from Foster's many Broadway shows, including Anything Goes (the title number and "I Get a Kick out of You"), Thoroughly Modern Millie (a surprise encore of "Gimme, Gimme"), and Violet (from which Henry performed "Let It Sing"). As a 40th birthday present for herself, Foster also sang her version of "Rose's Turn" from Gypsy. McGinnis did a solo on "Neverland" from Peter Pan.
Foster's many other Broadway credits include The Drowsy Chaperone, Young Frankenstein, and Shrek The Musical. She stars in the television shows Bunheads and Younger. Forster and Henry will also star in the Encores! Off-Center production of The Wild Party this summer.
