Artistic Director of the Naked Angels Theater Company Liz Carlson is directing a production of Sydney Michaels’ Dylan at the City College of Technology’s Voorhees Theater. Based on Dylan Thomas in America by John Malcolm Brinnin and Leftover to Kill by Caitlin Thomas, the play follows the poet Dylan Thomas through the final years of his life. Dylan originally opened on Broadway at the Schoenfeld Theatre on January 18, 1964, in a production starring Kate Reid and Alec Guinness, who won a Tony Award for his performance. A collaboration between Do Not Go Gentle Productions and City Tech Theatreworks, the production will run through May 11.
The creative team includes Norma Lee Chartoff (set design), Chip Scott (lighting design), Lara de Bruijn (costume design), and David B. Smith (sound design). Niki Armato is production stage manager and theNEST is Associate Producer.
