The Playwrights Horizons production of Taylor Mac's Hir has extended its run at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater through Sunday, December 20. The production was originally scheduled to close on November 29 and was initially extended through December 6.
Hir is described as a "subversive comedy" that follows Isaac, who has returned from the wars to help take care of his ailing father, only to discover a household in revolt. The cast is made up of Tony nominee Kristine Nielsen (You Can’t Take It With You), Daniel Oreskes (The Revisionist), Tom Phelan (The Fosters), and Cameron Scoggins (Pocatello).
Directed by Niegel Smith, the production features scenic design by David Zinn, costume design by Gabriel Berry, lighting design by Mike Inwood, and sound design by Fitz Patton.
