The ensemble sang Berlin’s “God Bless America,” which turns 100 this year.
Last night at the Music Box Theatre, the Broadway cast of Dear Evan Hansen paid tribute to Irving Berlin's patriotic tune "God Bless America," which this year celebrates its 100th anniversary. The cast followed up their show with a rendition of the song, appropriately on the eve of Berlin's 130th birthday and in the theater that was built by Berlin and his business partner Sam H. Harris in 1921.
Take a look at the postshow performance, featuring current cast members Taylor Trensch, Rachel Bay Jones, Laura Dreyfuss, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Mike Faist, Will Roland, Phoenix Best, and Asa Somers.
