The iconic dancer explores his career in his new stage show.
Photos of legendary dancer Maurice Hines in his new stage show, Tappin' Thru Life, have been released. Directed by Jeff Calhoun, performances begin December 23 at New World Stages in advance of a January 11 opening.
Hines stars in the off-Broadway production, alongside the tap-dancing Manzari brothers, Ruth sisters, Dario Natarelli, and the all-female Diva Jazz Orchestra, led by drummer Sherrie Maricle.
The musical comes to New York following a 2013 coproduction with Arena Stage and Alliance Theatre. The production features set design by Tobin Ost, sound design by Michael Hahn, lighting design by Michael Gilliam, and projection design by Darrel Maloney.
