The Metropolitan Room Breaks World Record for Longest Variety Show

With 60 hours of continuous performances, Guinness World Records was there to make it official.

Over the weekend, a new theatrical world record was set in New York City. The Metropolitan Room had hopes of shattering the record for the longest variety show, which was previously set at 12 hours. So from 7pm on January 1 through 7am on January 4, it hosted a slew of continuous performances including cabaret, comedy, burlesque, instrumental acts, and more. Nearly 300 performers came from around the world, with most from New York, to participate in the event. Check out some photos of the event in the gallery below.
