The comedy recently welcomed a whole new cast on Broadway.
The producers of The Play That Goes Wrong have announced a North American tour for the 2018-19 season, including a five-week engagement at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Additional cities will be announced in the coming months.
The Play That Goes Wrong started performances at the Lyceum Theatre March 9, with opening night on April 2. Directed by Mark Bell and cowritten by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields of the troupe Mischief Theatre, The Play That Goes Wrong introduces the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, a company attempting to put on a 1920s murder mystery. As everything that can go wrong does, the accident-prone thespians battle on against all the odds to get to their final curtain call.
It has Tony-winning set design by Nigel Hook, lighting design by Ric Mountjoy, sound design by Andy Johnson, and costume design by Roberto Surace.
