Video has been released from the world-premiere production of The Prince of Egypt, a new musical by Stephen Schwartz and Philip LaZebnik. Inspired by the acclaimed animated film of the same title, the production runs through November 5 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Scott Schwartz directs.
The cast is led by Diluckshan Jeyaratnam as Moses and Jason Gotay as Ramses. They are joined by Brennyn Lark, Julia Motyka as Miriam, Tom Nelis as Pharaoh Seti, Will Mann as High Priest Hotep, David Crane as Aaron, Christina Sajous as Queen Tuya, Ayelet Firstenberg as Youcheved, Jamila Sabares-Klemm as Nefertari, Paul-Jordan Jansen as Jethro. Natalie Schroeder and Alexandra Van De Poel will share the role of Young Miriam, with Dylan Kento Curtis and Oliver Copaken Yellin alternating as Young Aaron.
The ensemble includes C.J. Blankenship, Dominic Dagdagan, Katherine Dela Cruz, Jourdan Epstein, Brian Flores, Gabriel Hyman, Joshua Keith, Travis Leland, Alison Mixon, Ramone Owens, David Sattler, Alicia Shumway, and Kalyn West.
The world premiere is presented by TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, with a 2018 presentation at the Fredericia Teater in Denmark.
