Adam Jacobs, James Monroe Iglehart, and Courtney Reed will help welcome 2015.
Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment have announced that Broadway's Aladdin, the Tony Award-winning musical comedy based on the classic Disney animated film, will join the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration to welcome 2015.
The show's stars, Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), James Monroe Iglehart (Genie), and Courtney Reed (Jasmine), will participate in both the famed ball-drop celebration and events leading up to the the New Year's Eve event.
This year, the confetti that falls on Times Square revelers will include wishes shared by people from around the globe. These wishes will be collected and displayed at the first ever mobile wishing wall set to be presented throughout Times Square during the month of December. Throughout the world, anyone can participate by submitting their wish online here.
"The story of Aladdin is a great match for Times Square New Year’s Eve, as both involve big magical moments, wishes coming true, striving to be better, and finding love and friendship in unlikely places," said Tim Tompkins, president of the Times Square Alliance.
