The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart Returns to the McKittrick Hotel

The National Theatre of Scotland production of The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart will return to the McKittrick Hotel on March 8, with an official opening night scheduled for March 20. Performances will run through April 30.

Written by David Greig and directed by Wils Wilson, The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart tells the story of a Scottish folklore academic who spends a night with a mysterious stranger after becoming snowbound during a conference. Told partially in rhyming verse, Prudencia Hart overflows with magic and music.

Performances will take place in the Club Car, the McKittrick's upstairs space, which will be transformed into a Scottish pub. The McKittrick is also the venue of the long-running immersive drama Sleep No More.

The cast features Ewan Black, Charlene Boyd, Charlie West, Natali McCleary, and Gavin Jon Wright.

The creative team includes design by Georgia McGuinness, movement by Janice Parker, and musical direction by Alasdair Macrae.

The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart first played the McKittrick in 2016. TheaterMania's review of that run called it "an unforgettable theatrical experience, driven by brave performances and resourceful staging."
