Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire’s play begins tonight.
Good People begins performances at TheaterWorks tonight. Set in the Southie, "a neighborhood where a night on the town means a few rounds of bingo and this month's paycheck covers last month's bills," the story follows Margie Walsh. After losing yet another job and facing eviction, she tries to save herself by latching on to an old fling. Her efforts to catch a break present a story with humor and grace, which examines changing loyalties, steadfast hopes, and life in America when you have nothing.
Written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire and directed by Rob Ruggiero, the show features Megan Byrne, R. Ward Duffy, Buddy Haardt, Audrie Neenan, Erika Rolfsrud, and Chandra Thomas.
The creative team includes John Lasiter (lighting design), Luke Hegel-Cantarella (set design), Harry Nadal (costume design), Michael Miceli (sound design), and Kate J. Cudworth (stage manager).
Performances will run through June 28.
