Broadway’s ”Mean Girls” will be featured in a panel conversation during the weekend of events.
Cast and creative team members from Broadway's Mean Girls have joined the lineup for BroadwayCon 2019, participating in a Spotlight series panel on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 3pm.
The panel will feature Tina Fey (book), Jeff Richmond (music), Nell Benjamin (lyrics), Casey Nicholaw (director, choreographer), Erika Henningsen (Cady Heron), Taylor Louderman (Regina George), Ashley Park (Gretchen Wieners), Kate Rockwell (Karen Smith), Barrett Wilbert Weed (Janis Sarkisian), and Grey Henson (Damian Hubbard) with moderation by Damian Holbrook, senior writer at TV Guide Magazine.
Based on Tina Fey's hit film, Mean Girls opened at the August Wilson Theatre on April 8, earning 12 Tony nominations, including Best Musical. The story is described as follows: "Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But when Cady devises a plan to end Regina's reign, she learns the hard way that you can't cross a Queen Bee without getting stung."
