The Broadway Dreams Foundation presented its first NYC Summer Performing Arts Intensive from June 8-14 at RWS & Associates in Long Island City, NY. The week was led by directors Otis Sallid (Smokey Joe’s Café) and Alan Souza (Camelot) and also featured a talented roster of Broadway professionals, including Tim Acito (Zanna, Don’t!), Tituss Burgess (The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime), Sara Jean Ford (The Phantom of the Opera), Ari Groover (Holler If Ya Hear Me), Tony winner Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Donnie Kehr (Jersey Boys), Lindsay Mendez (Significant Other), Maxx Reed (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark), John Tartaglia (Avenue Q), and songwriter Jeremy Schonfeld.
The Broadway Dreams Foundation is a performing arts education program dedicated to ongoing engagement, inspiration, and access regardless of a student's ability to pay. With a faculty of Broadway stars, directors, and agents, BDF aims to provide training to anyone who aspires for a career in the performing arts.
