Oscar-winning playwright Paddy Chayefsky’s romantic comedy returns to the stage this February.
The Keen Company has announced the cast for its upcoming off-Broadway revival of Middle of the Night, written by three-time Academy Award winner Paddy Chayefsky (Network, Marty).
Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein helms a cast featuring Tony nominee Jonathan Hadary (Gypsy), Todd Bartels (Bingo With the Indians, Church), Tony nominee Amelia Campbell (Our Country's Good), Alyssa May Gold (Arcadia), Nicole Lowrance (Dividing the Estate), Denise Lute (Harry Outside), and Melissa Miller (The Merchant of Venice).
Middle of the Night is a comedy about a May-December romance between an older Jewish widower and a young gentile bride of another man in 1950s New York City. When the unlikely lovers fall for each other, their romance throws their disapproving families into chaos.
The production will begin performances on February 11 in advance of a February 27 opening and will run through March 29. The creative team includes Steven Kemp (set design), Jonathan Spencer (lighting design), Jennifer Paar (costume design), Obadiah Eaves (sound design), and Ricola Wille (props).
