The politically-charged, world premiere drama follows Annie (Butler) and Peter (AuCoin) as they confront the uncertainty that stems from their identity as white Americans who are planning to adopt a child from Africa. Joining Butler and AuCoin are Obie Award winner Eisa Davis (Passing Strange), Theatre World Award winner Crystal A. Dickinson (Clybourne Park), and Obie Award winner Russell G. Jones (Ruined).
Barfield’s other plays include Of Equal Measure, Dent, The Quick, and Blue Door, which was directed by Silverman at Playwrights Horizons in 2006.
