The sequel to Ludwig’s ”Lend Me a Tenor” will premiere at the Cleveland Play House.
Casting has been announced for Ken Ludwig's A Comedy of Tenors, making its world premiere at the Cleveland Play House in coproduction with the McCarter Theatre Center. Performances are set to run from September 5-October 3 in the Allen Theatre, followed by a run at the McCarter beginning October 13.
A sequel to Ludwig's Tony-winning Lend Me a Tenor, A Comedy of Tenors is a show-business farce set amid the glitz and glamour of 1930s Paris. Stephen Wadsworth directs.
The cast will feature Ron Orbach (Soul Doctor) as Saunders, Antoinette Lavecchia (A View From the Bridge) as Maria, Bradley Dean (Doctor Zhivago) as Tito/Beppo, Kristen Martin (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark) as Mimi, Bobby Conte Thornton (Grease) as Carlo Nucci, Tony nominee Rob McClure (Honeymoon in Vegas), as Max, and Lisa Brescia (The Times They Are A-Changin') as Tatiana Racón.
The creative team includes scenic design by Charlie Corcoran, lighting design by David Lander, costume design by William Ivey Long, and sound design by Joshua Horvath.
