Broadway’s Rob McClure and Julie Halston will host the concert fundraiser.
Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award winner Lily Tomlin will make a special guest appearance at next month's 10th anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards. Broadway stars Rob McClure (Honeymoon in Vegas) and Julie Halston (You Can't Take It With You) will host the annual Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS fundraising event, scheduled for Monday, March 9, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
On the Town star Elizabeth Stanley also joins the roster of performers, which currently includes Jim Brochu, Tituss Burgess, Charles Busch, Mario Cantone, Len Cariou, Jenn Colella, Robin De Jesús, Harvey Evans, Lena Hall, Shawna Hamic, Ann Harada, Florence Henderson, Aaron Lazar, Telly Leung, Norm Lewis, Maureen McGovern, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Lee Roy Reams, Brian Charles Rooney, Douglas Sills, Jason Michael Snow, Micah Stock, Lillias White, and Tony Yazbeck.
Robert Bartley directs and choreographs the show, with Mary-Mitchell Campbell as music supervisor and Tim Rosser as music director. Adam Roberts serves as associate choreographer, with lighting design by Ryan O'Gara and costume design by Bernadette Banner.
Broadway Backwards is an annual celebration where gays and lesbians experience their stories as told through the great songs of musical theater. Last year's sold-out show raised a record-breaking $423,182 and featured a lineup of 51 performers from Broadway, film, and television.
