Tony-Winning Kinky Boots Celebrates 500 Performances

Broadway's Kinky Boots, winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Musical, celebrated its 500th performance in the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on June 19. The cast, including 2013 Tony winner Billy Porter, commemorated the milestone backstage with three festively numerical cakes.

Featuring a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price, the owner of a failing shoe factory, who realizes that a sassy drag queen named Lola has the key to the business' success.
