Roundabout Theatre Company will bring Arthur Miller’s classic drama back to the stage this spring.
Roundabout Theatre Company has announced plans for a Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's All My Sons, set to open this spring at the American Airlines Theatre. Directed by Tony winner Gregory Mosher, the production will star Oscar, Tony, and Emmy nominee Annette Bening as Kate Keller opposite Tony winner Tracy Letts as Joe Keller. Performances will begin April 4, 2019 ahead of an April 22 opening and will run through June 23.
Bening — a four-time Academy Award nominee for the films The Grifters (1990), American Beauty (1999), Being Julia (2004), and The Kids Are All Right (2010) — began her career onstage and earned a Tony nomination for her Broadway debut in Coastal Disturbances in 1987. Letts, a writer and actor of stage and screen, is best known for penning the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play August: Osage County. In 2013, he earned a Tony Award for his lead performance in Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
All My Sons is described as follows: "In the aftermath of WWII, the Keller family struggles to stay intact and to fight for their future when a long-hidden secret threatens to emerge — forcing them to reckon with greed, denial, repentance, and post-war disenchantment across generations." The family drama earned the 1947 Tony Award for Best Author.
The remaining cast members and design team will be announced soon.
