Off-Broadway theater company Transport Group has announced plans for the 2013-2014 season, which will include John Cariani's Almost, Maine and John Van Druten's I Remember Mama, both directed by Jack Cummings III.
Almost, Maine, which will run January 19-February 23 and open February 4, is a sad and funny play with characters including salty waitresses, lost tourists, and tough and not-so-tough men and women. The play premiered at the Portland Stage Company in Portland, Maine, in 2004.
I Remember Mama will run March 16-April 20 and open April 1. This production of the beloved John Van Druten classic features a cast of 10 actresses in 23 roles. The story reveals the way even the smallest and seemingly insignificant experiences of family life can silently accumulate.
Transport Group is a not-for-profit theater company that stages new works and reimagined revivals by American writers.
