Under the Radar Celebrates Opening Night of 2019 Festival

The Public Theater's 2019 Under the Radar Festival opened Thursday, January 3. Check out photos from the evening in the gallery below.

Founded in 2005 by Mark Russell, the Under the Radar Festival is described by the Public as providing "a high-visibility platform to support artists from diverse backgrounds who are redefining the act of making theater. Widely recognized as a premier launching pad for new and cutting-edge performance from the US and abroad."

The year's festival features the work of 21 artists from nine countries and continues through January 13.
