UPDATE: Emmy Award winner Shia LaBeouf has departed the production due to creative differences, as of February 20th. A replacement for the role of Treat has not yet been announced, but the production dates remain unchanged.

The Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre Box Office is now selling tickets for its upcoming Broadway production of Orphans to the general public. Written by Lyle Kessler (The Watering Place) and directed by Daniel Sullivan (Glengarry Glen Ross), Orphans‘ three-person cast will feature Emmy winner and Tony nominee Alec Baldwin (A Streetcar Named Desire), and British film actor Tom Sturridge (Being Julia), making his Broadway debut.

Orphans follows two brothers who are living in a run-down North Philadelphia row house where the eldest brother, Treat, supports his seemingly simple-minded younger brother, Phillip (Sturridge), by petty thievery. One night, Treat kidnaps a rich older man named Harold (Baldwin), who we later discover has his own motives and becomes the father figure that the orphaned brothers have always yearned for.

Previews are scheduled to begin on March 19 with the official opening date set for April 7.
