The songs of Bing Crosby will open the annual series of holiday programming.
Urban Stages has announced the lineup for its sixth series of musical evenings titled Winter Rhythms 2014. The series will include 12 nights of performances, running from December 2-December 14.
This year’s festivities will kick off with a tribute to legendary crooner Bing Crosby on December 2. The evening will be hosted by musical director Bill Zeffiro, who curates and cohosts with Crosby biographer Gary Giddins. The roster of performers will include Steve Ross, Jeff Harnar, Marissa Mulder, Mary Foster Conklin, Julie Reyburn, Anna Marie Sell, Marissa Miller, and Susan Winter.
The final performance on December 14 will be From All of Us to All of You: Seasonal Songs and Disney, Too!, the traditional closing concert, which mixes holiday standards with songs from Disney movies. Drama Desk Award winner Jim Brochu will host this year’s version, featuring Clint Holmes, KT Sullivan, Janice Hall, David Vernon, Sue Matsuki, Edd Clark, Mary Lahti, Helena Grenot, Joanna Morton Gary, Nick Levin, Gretchen Reinhagen, Lennie Watts, Doreen Montalvo, and more. Matthew Martin Ward will serve as musical director.
