Uzo Aduba, Brian d'Arcy James, and More Stage Vets Win Screen Actors Guild Awards

Viola Davis, Kevin Spacey, and more received the annual honors.

Winners of the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards have been revealed, and a host of Broadway veterans took home statues.

On the film side, Spotlight, a movie that featured stage vets Brian d'Arcy James (Something Rotten!) alongside Mark Ruffalo (The Normal Heart), Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), Stanley Tucci (Lend Me a Tenor), and Billy Crudup (Waiting for Godot), took home the outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture award.

In the television acting categories, Jeffrey Tambor (Glengarry Glen Ross) took home the outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series honor for Transparent, with Uzo Aduba (Godspell) taking home the outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series honor for Orange Is the New Black, Kevin Spacey (A Moon for the Misbegotten) receiving the the outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series trophy for House of Cards, and Viola Davis (Fences) receiving the the outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series trophy for How to Get Away with Murder.

Aduba was also one of 18 stage veterans from the Orange Is the New Black company that took home statues in the Best Ensemble category. Joining Aduba as recipients are Mike Birbiglia (Sleepwalk With Me), Marsha Stephanie Blake (Hurt Village), Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), Catherine Curtin (Consent), Lea DeLaria (The Rocky Horror Show), Beth Fowler (The Boy From Oz), Joel Marsh Garland (Essential Self Defense), Kimiko Glenn (Waitress), Annie Golden (Violet), Adrienne C. Moore (Milk Like Sugar), Kate Mulgrew (Equus), Elizabeth Rodriguez (The Motherf*cker With the Hat), Taylor Schilling (A Month in the Country), Constance Shulman (Barbecue), Dale Soules (Shows for Days), and Yael Stone (Diary of a Mad Man).
