The organization will search for a new leader.
Vineyard Theatre has announced the departure of current Executive Producer/CEO Jennifer Garvey-Blackwell, who will leave at the end of September 2016 to pursue new career opportunities.
"It is safe to say that when I started at Vineyard Theatre in 1997, I could not have foreseen what a vital and sustaining part of my life it would become," Garvey-Blackwell said in a statement. "That enrichment came with the opportunity to work with an array of talented and generous artists, supportive donors, a committed Board of Directors, generous friends of the theater and a devoted and hard-working staff. Working with all of these people, I can look back with pride on the work we have produced and the programs we have created through the years."
Garvey-Blackwell joined the organization in 1997, transitioning to executive director/CEO in 2001 and executive producer in 2011. She has overseen the growth of the organization and has led the company’s management, administration, production, marketing, development, and finance departments. Vineyard Theatre has contracted the executive search firm Dunch Arts to work with the Board of Directors to identify a new executive leader.
