The first trailer has been released for John Cameron Mitchell's upcoming film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's How to Talk to Girls at Parties. Hitting cinemas on May 18, the movie stars Tony winner Alex Sharp, alongside Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Ruth Wilson, and Matt Lucas. Mitchell directs and coauthors the screenplay with Philippa Goslett.
Mitchell is best known for cocreating the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which he also starred in on Broadway and off-Broadway as well as in a 2001 film adaptation. Sharp is a 2015 Tony Award winner for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
