Tyne Daly and Tim Daly star as brother and sister in the play.
The world premiere production of Downstairs began performances last night at Dorset Playhouse.
Real-life siblings Tyne Daly and Tim Daly star as Irene and Teddy in Theresa Rebeck's family drama. In the play, Irene’s brother Teddy has moved back home and is living in her basement. Her husband is less than thrilled about this, and Teddy is more than a little off his game. As brother and sister struggle to understand their present and past, questions of betrayal, disappointment, and madness rise and fall. John Procaccino also stars.
The production is directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt with sets by Narelle Sissons, costumes by Charles Schoonmaker, lighting design by Michael Giannitti, and sound design by ML Dogg. Will Rucker is the stage manager.
Performances continue through July 8.
