Barfield will reprise her collaboration with Tony-nominated director Leigh Silverman.
Women's Project Theater will present the world premiere of Pulitzer Prize nominee Tanya Barfield's Bright Half Life, directed by Tony nominee Leigh Silverman. The play will perform a five-week limited engagement at New York City Center – Stage II from February 17-March 22, with an official opening set for February 25.
Bright Half Life is described as a "kaleidoscopic new play about love, skydiving and the infinite moments that make a life together." Rebecca Henderson (Appropriate Behavior) and Rachael Holmes (Ruined) costar as the production's central characters Erika and Vicky. The show marks the third collaboration between Barfield and Silverman, having previously worked together on the Playwrights Horizons-Primary Stages coproduction of The Call and Barfield's 2007 Pulitzer Prize-nominated Blue Door.
The creative team for Bright Half Life includes set designer Rachel Hauck, costume designer Emily Rebholz, lighting designer Jen Schriever, and sound designer Bart Fasbender.
