Yale Rep Announces 2018-19 Season Lineup

Yale Repertory Theatre has announced four productions joining its 2018-19 season, with a fifth to be announced at a later date.

The season opens with the world premiere of El Huracán (September 28-October 20), a powerful take of family and forgiveness by Charise Castro Smith, directed by Laurie Woolery, presented in collaboration with the Sol Project.

Two-time Tony Award-winning theater artist Peter Brook and his longtime collaborator Marie-Hélène Estienne examine the nature of justice in The Prisoner (November 2-17), a new international production that is currently playing in Paris ahead of its US premiere at Yale Rep.

Director Carl Cofield will then stage an Afro-futurist production of Twelfth Night (March 15, 2019-April 6, 2019), William Shakespeare's romantic comedy of mistaken identity and unrequited love.

The season will close with the world premiere of the civil-rights-themed Cadillac Crew (April 26, 2019-May 18, 2019), a new play written by Tori Sampson and directed by Jesse Rasmussen.

Yale Rep's fifth production will run February 1-23, 2019, and will be announced later in the spring.
