Julie Halston, now performing in the Broadway revival of You Can't Take It With You, will host the fifth annual Broadway Belts for PFF! (Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation). The event will take place on February 23 at 7pm at Birdland Jazz Club as part of the Broadway at Birdland series.

Directed by Carl Andress, the evening will feature performances by a number of Broadway stars including Tony nominee Santino Fontana (Cinderella), Edward Hibbert (It Shoulda Been You), Julia Murney (Wicked), Tony Award winner Randy Graff (City of Angels), Tony nominee Annaleigh Ashford (You Can't Take It With You), Erich Bergen (Jersey Boys film), Robert Creighton (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones), and Betsy Wolfe (Bullets Over Broadway).

Christopher McGovern will offer musical direction, with musical supervision and arrangements by Ed Windels, and script by Julie Halston and D. Michael Dvorchak.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Michael Kuchwara Fund for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, Education, and Advocacy. The fund honors the late Associated Press theater critic and reporter who died in May 2010 due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

Halston is a spokeswoman and activist for pulmonary fibrosis, along with her husband, former Sirius XM news anchor for The Howard Stern Show, Ralph Howard, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2008.
