Funny Girl tells the story of comedienne Fanny Brice, a poor Jewish girl from New York’s Lower East Side who catches the eyes of powerhouse producer Florenz Ziegfeld. Brice becomes a star, capturing the heart of celebrated playboy Nick Arnstein, whom she eventually marries. With a book by Isobel Lennart, music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Bob Merrill, the show features such popular classics as “I’m The Greatest Star,” “Don’t Rain On My Parade” and “People.”
