Colored Contradictions

On the heels of a 2005 LA Ovation Award nomination and 2006 NAACP Theatre Award nomination for The Colored Museum, Company of Angels Theatre presents Colored Contradictions. Featuring an array of works from celebrated plays, the evening’s narrator, ‘The Celestial Brotha,’ takes the audience on a journey through time — along the way showing the many facets and, on the surface, seeming contradictions of the Black experience. Infused with original music, dance and live African drumming the evening is guaranteed to bring audiences to their feet. Each week the show will include a thought-provoking performance by a different local Spoken Word Artist.
