About the Show

Book by Garson Kanin
Music by Jule Styne, Lyrics by Betty Comden & Adolph Green

For years, Do Re Mi was remembered as “the Phil Silvers musical” or, perhaps, as Nancy Dussault’s first show. This, despite a 400-performance run. In 1999, however, New York’s City Center Encores! revived Do Re Mi and the applause started anew. Quite simply, it has one of Jule Styne’s liveliest scores (including “Make Someone Happy”) and a fun book about gangsters, show biz, jukeboxes, Washington investigations and …love! Come and see why Walter Kerr, NY Herald Tribune, said: “It’s silly fun, loud fun, fast fun, grand fun.” Presented by Musical Theatre Guild.
