Five Cups of Coffee

In Gillette Elvgren’s comedy Five Cups of Coffee, Hal Bjornson runs out of his own wedding and into Milo’s Gourmet Coffee Shop. He’s a young man obsessed with time — why it exists, how it works, and where to escape it. Hal doesn’t drink coffee, but at crucial moments in his life, he consumes a total of five cups, all at Milo’s. In this world premiere comedy, Gillette Elvgren conjures a loopy, magical world in which relationships are not quite what they seem, the Garden of Eden may lie buried beneath land mines in the Iraqi desert, the Gates of Paradise look strangely like Graceland, and a Gourmet Coffee Shop is a place where almost anything can happen.
