The rocky road to romance is trod by four twenty-something’s in this snappy look at love and marriage. Chuck and Gail, an about-to-be-wed couple, wish the chemistry between Jay and Bonnie of their wedding party was better, but sparks fly whenever they meet. As the wedding draws closer, their forced togetherness results in an escalating series of verbal skirmishes during which their mutual hate evolves into something more complicated and delicious. The classic on-again/off-again relationship of Jay and Bonnie is played out against a backdrop of suburban angst as Chuck and Gail stumble through the ritual absurdities of the wedding and the stark realities of marriage. Written by Frederick Stroppel and directed by Judy Kerr.
