Collaborating with a musician, Anna delivers Letter from a Birmingham Jail, a powerful exploration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s landmark document written from a cramped prison cell in Alabama. More than 50 years after Dr. King penned his response to reluctant supporters of the civil rights movement, the Tony nominated artist and MacArthur “Genius” fellow delivers contrasting threads of strength, love, reason, and outrage to the stage.
